SSMRV College was established in 1982 by the Rashtreeya Shikshana Samithi Trust, offering Pre – University and Bachelor’s degrees in both science and commerce streams.

The SSMRV PU College started functioning as an independent entity from 1 April 2002. The college offers the following subjects in the science stream – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, with Biology, Electronics, or Computer Science to be taken up as an optional subject. In the commerce stream, the following are offered – Statistics, Business Studies and Accountancy with the option of taking up Economics,Computer Science, Mathematics as optional subjects. The languages we offer are English, Kannada, Hindi, and Sanskrit.
